The NSAs meet regularly (currently 4 times a year) to exchange experience and to comment on major development dossiers in the Agency, like TSIs, CSMs and impact assessment reports
Each NSA publishes an annual report on its activities, including the safety indicators for their country. The reports are published on this website
To deal with specific subjects the NSAs work with the Agency in smaller task forces, for example to exchange information on safety recommendations with the investigation bodies
The NSAs have agreed to carry out peer reviews among themselves with Agency support. In 2010 peer reviews will deal with safety certification practices and authorisations to place subsystems in service.
In September 2009 Vice-President Tajani of the European Commission proposed that the Agency’s role should be strengthened in areas such as certification, audits and inspections. The NSAs together with the Agency will further reflect on and consider these proposals.
