Based on Article 17(4) of the Railway Safety Directive the National Safety Authorities (NSAs) shall conduct an active exchange of views and experience for the purpose of harmonising their decision-making criteria across the Community.
Furthermore, the Agency shall also cooperate with national safety authorities with a view to checking that the procedures for authorisation for placing in service are applied consistently as required by Article 21a(5) of the Agency Regulation.
Therefore the NSA Network has agreed to carry out a peer review exercise for facilitating this exchange, sharing best practice experiences and learning from them.
The interoperability Unit is organising this activity for of peer reviews concerning placing into service of subsystems.
